Today we got up nice and early to head from our hotel at the airport into the heart of DC.
It’s a bit colder here! 0 degrees instead of the nice warm 20ish in Vegas.
We saw the Washington monument, Lincoln memorial, Vietnam memorial, ww2 memorial, the whitehouse, national archives (declaration of independence, bill of rights) and Capitol building.
The Washington monument stands 555 feet tall and we were able to visit the top providing spectacular views of the city.
skies look clear and air does look cold! Those coats are being well used!
