2 Days In

Photos is proving to be harder to put up. I´ve put some on Facebook but the laptop is chucking a fit when it reads SD Cards.

We flew in at 1100 yesterday and caught a BART to Stan´s place. These are basically San Francisco´s trains and boy do they go fast.

With there being a lack of fog, we headed into the city. We caught a BART again, and then caught the Powell and Market cable car to Ghirardeli Square. This is the tram and we were able to hang on the outside of it as it went through the streets. A really cool experience.

From here we walked all the way to the foot of the golden gate bridge past Fort Mason and Crissy Field. We then walked from there all the way back to the BART station, a 15 kilometer walk all up. Ben and I definitely wore our thongs in and Chris´ shoes didn´t make it back.

After getting changed we headed to the Lucky Thirteen, a local bar that Stan (who we are staying with) spends a lot of time at. After meeting the owner, he lined up 20 different beers on the bar for us to try. Between that, free drinks and many jagerbombs I don´t remember a thing. It was a massive, massive night. All in all, a pretty good effort after almost 30 hours awake.

Today we got up and spent the day driving around. We drove all over the city and saw Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermen´s Grotto, Pier 39, Ocean Beach and Sutro Baths.

The plan tomorrow is to go and see Alcatraz.

It was great having the guys stay with me. They seemed to enjoy themselves and now have more Jeiger bling than most Jeiger reps. They certainly provided my friends at the 13 with some great memories. Hey, someone has to have memories from the night.

Looking forward to the returned hospitality next year when we come to visit Down Under. :)
